Making a difference

In the June issue of the Bridge Bulletin, I read the article titled “The Longest Day Hits Home” and it hit home. The article about Richard and Mary Oshlag touched me deeply, having lost my husband, Henry Sender on April 2 to the same dreadful disease.

On June 21, I played with my regular partner, Scott Graham, to participate in The Longest Day event for Alzheimer’s research at Jordan’s Bridge Club in Boca Raton Florida. As Richard said “I can’t do anything to help Mary .. but maybe we can help somebody, sometime down the road.
